Now is a particularly good time to buy Apple’s M1-powered Mac mini if you don’t have enough base memory. Amazon is back in the process of selling the compact desktop at a record $ 800 price after viewing an instant coupon of $ 29.01 at checkout. That’s the best price we’ve seen for the Mac mini since March, and just $ 100 above the official price for the 256GB model.

Put simply, the M1 chip pays off the Mac mini – as we’ve seen in the reviews of recent MacBooks, the CPU (using a fast SSD) can easily handle everyday tasks. It should also be very quiet so you don’t have to deal with a noisy fan while editing media or watching a show. This can be an ideal computer when you want something that is out of the way.
There are some considerations. The M1 Mac mini has neither upgradeable RAM nor upgradeable memory. If you want more, you should look elsewhere. Likewise, if you need multiple monitors or want a lot of high-speed connectivity otherwise, the two Thunderbolt ports on the back won’t impress you. And as fast as this machine is, it definitely won’t be your first choice for gaming. If you can live with these caveats, there is little to complain about.
