Get your pitch-off on with our Disrupt Startup Alley companies on upcoming episodes of Extra Crunch Live – TechCrunch

Disrupt is just around the corner and this year the show is filled to the brim with incredible panels and conversations, an absolutely stacked Startup Battlefield cohort of companies launching on our stage, investor insights and a virtual exhibition hall full of exciting new products and services in Startup Alley .

We can hardly wait! Literally. So we’re going to give you a little glimpse into some of the startups you might see in the upcoming episodes of Extra Crunch Live on Disrupt.

Typically, the Extra Crunch Live crew sits down with founders and the investors who fund them to learn how they decided to partner and ultimately how startups can get a “yes” on fundraising. In the second half of the episode, the same guests give live feedback to the audience who come to our virtual stage and present their products.

To be honest, everyone loves a good pitch-off. In these upcoming Startup Alley Edition episodes of Extra Crunch Live, we’re turning the entire episode into a pitch-off. SUA companies come on stage one after the other and have exactly 60 seconds to get us excited about their startup. But it wouldn’t be a real pitch-off without expert feedback.

I’m excited to announce the investors who are joining us in these episodes to share their insights and knowledge with both the startups and the audience.

On September 1st, Neil Sequeira, co-founder and partner at defy.vc, and Stacey Bishop, partner at Scale Venture Partners, will join us.

Defy has a portfolio that includes Dropcam, Nest, Bustle, and more. Sequeira has served on more than 40 company boards, so it should go without saying that he will give our founders plenty of insightful feedback.

Bishop brings more than 20 years of investment experience to our little pitch-off. She currently serves on the boards of Abstract, Airspace, Demandbase, Extole, Lever and others. Bishop has also served on several boards that the company successfully exited, including HubSpot, Bizible, and Vitrue.
